As We Once Were – The Anchoress: New Album Released August 2026

Posted on April 14, 2026April 14, 2026 By Priptona No Comments on As We Once Were – The Anchoress: New Album Released August 2026

There has been news from The Anchoress over the past 24 hours. Her third studio album titled As We Once Were is set for release on Last Night From Glasgow in early August. There are various formats and bundles available, including a cassette! The ‘absolutely everything’ bundle has already sold out, but there is plenty of everything else available to pre-order. Details can be found HERE

To launch the news, the first single from the album was released yesterday, having its debut play on Steve Lamacq’s show on BBC Radio 6 Music. The track is called ‘I Had a Baby Not a Lobotomy’ and it is available to listen to on all streaming services as well to purchase at The Anchoress Bandcamp store HERE

Finally, there will be a launch show at the 100 Club in central London on Saturday 22 August 2026. Tickets for the gig went on sale at 10am BST this morning and will no doubt sell like hotcakes! I have bought my ticket already and have secured some remarkably cheap accommodation close to the venue so all I have to sort out is travel. If you’re keen to attend, the link for tickets is HERE

You can watch the video below. Enjoy! It’s a banger!
