Redemption Songs

Posted on February 25, 2024February 25, 2024 By Priptona No Comments on Redemption Songs

I have to say that, after the disappointment that I expressed for the Oz show that I listened to on BBC Sounds from 10 Feb – Billy Sloan absolutely redeemed himself last night with one cracker of a show. Lots of great new music and a fantastic interview with Suzi Ronson. I’d highly recommend giving it a listen if you can.

The only wee little niggles I had was (they are only wee and I am being so bloody biased and pernickety here!) that Bowie’s Five Years would have slotted in nicely as both topical play for the interview AND for the topic of the week’s show – that is: great and immediately recongisable drum intros. Also…I really wanted to hear Boys From Brazil get played on the radio, goddamnit! Lol.

Other than those two pernickety niggles, top show!

A short and sweet post today, people. As you were…

(Featured image is an old one from a million years ago when we bumped into each other at a previous Caezar gig.)
