Below is a screenshot of the SM post I was discussing in the video…

Hey, I disagree. I understand his points. Being admired and cheered on by large audiences can lead you to an adrenaline rush that pushes you beyond your usual limits. However, not every artist or musician is also an entertainer. Some might prefer playing for themselves or small groups without pressure, avoiding the intense experience of being loved or hated by thousands in a short time. It’s quite daunting to put yourself out there in front of massive crowds and face judgment, criticism, or applause based on your performance. Yet, if you conquer that fear, the reward is immense, creating an addiction that stays with you. I’m sure they were on a high adrenaline rush during those moments, unable to sleep, with their minds racing all night, not needing any “Red Bulls” but feeling a temporary surge of energy. By putting themselves out there like this, I believe they deserve to be proud and recognized. Not everyone has the mental and physical strength to face the fear every night of potentially failing or succeeding on stage (all band members) . Just my opinion xx

I also understand that it isn’t for everyone to have this kind of career – but Jim Kerr has the propensity of putting it across in a way that attacks those who are unable to do it. Little humility is shown. Be proud of what you do by all means, but to do it where you paint yourself as some kind of superman, offering yourself up as someone superior and all others inferior is just plain wrong. He is indeed a great frontman. He’d be an even better frontman in my eyes if he could express true humility with it. Bigging yourself up whilst simultaneously deriding others is not the way.
Has he really? Maybe it’s my lack of English knowledge but to me he always sounds pretty respectful in what he is saying about any X members and very humble too with a nice sense of humour.
Haha…your rose tinted glasses certainly have come off..
They seem content, goal is reached. And that is a word he doesn’t want to hear.
That is also why he has to tell us they are still full of energy. If that was obvious it wouldn’t need telling.
I agree – with all of this!
Thank you for getting in touch.
