It’s been a little hectic here of late. ‘Here’ being my humble abode, rather than the blog. Although I hope that you all enjoyed my recent interview with The Anchoress on the release of her new album, As We Once Were. In relation to that, I’ll be taking my first trip to London in almost 3 years to see her album launch show at the 100 Club this Saturday and I am ssoooo buzzed for that. Honestly, there were times when I thought I might have had to call it off but I am glad to say it is all systems go for Saturday.
But I digress!
What I really wanted to write about in this post is the now IMMINENT release of my book: Simple Minds – Song by Song. The date is fast approaching for the UK release. Yes…you read that correctly…the UK release. Because, I have just found out in the past couple of days that it is also getting a U.S. release! Exciting! It will also be available in Canada too.
So, for the UK the release date is Wednesday 30 September – just SIX WEEKS as of today. For the U.S. there’ll be a slightly later release date of Monday 30 November – which just so happens to be St. Andrew’s Day in Scotland and I’ll be making my way back home from Newcastle having seen Del Amitri the night before.

*P.S. If you see a descrepency in the name on the cover, they initally were going to print my full name on the cover, but I have requested my first and last name only to be printed. My middle name won’t appear on the final printed copy.
As for Australia – well, Dymocks show it in the search results of its ISBN 13: 9781036156923 (or by searching my name) but it doesn’t have its own landing page. If I try to click on the book from the search results, it just loads the page of the entire ‘general music’ category of books. Seemingly from the search results it can be pre-ordered but because there is no landing page for the book itself, I can’t see the release date. As a result of what’s happening, I am not going to list it yet. It doesn’t show up on Amazon in Australia, so that’s gonna have to wait.
I genuinely cannot believe I am going to have a book out in six weeks time. It’s crazy! I’m very proud of it and I hope all of you guys will really enjoy it. Thank you all so much for pre-ordering already. It means so much.
