Well, how’s THIS for some Minds Music Monday news? I know the conversations I’ve been having with Michelle lately that she had been wanting them to play here for some time. As for me, I’d have preferred Kelvingrove Bandstand – but they’d have had to have played several nights running. I know Michelle will be over the moon that it’s at Bellahouston….and…to be fair I am pretty darn happy too. Glad that it’s local – I’ve not experienced a big SM outdoors show so local. I mean, Princes Street Gardens was wonderful but this is REAL “home turf.”
The list of support acts are brilliant also. I wanted to see Future Islands at Kelvingrove Bandstand this year, but Johnny Marr was the priority for me. I am ssooo glad I’ll get to see them at last. Likewise with KT, I wanted to try and get to see her at the Barras but the gig sold out real quick. No funds…etc, etc.
And then there is Hamish! And…it was PSG in 2022 that kicked that all off. So, for him to be on a bill with SM in Glasgow is FUCKING AWESOME!
