Siddhartha – BBC Radio Drama Adaptation

Posted on April 4, 2024April 4, 2024 By Priptona 4 Comments on Siddhartha – BBC Radio Drama Adaptation

I do love a good BBC Radio Drama and when I saw this I had to grab a copy of the recording. I recently thought about trying to get a copy of it to Monsieur Kerr for his audio delectation (I still haven’t got round to listening to it myself, so it might not be any good – but most BBC Radio Dramas are pretty good, I reckon) – perhaps take a SD card with me, hand it to GG and get him to copy it off and pass it on to Jim. But that seemed a bit of a palaver and as it transpired things were so chaotic last weekend, I didn’t get the chance to see GG at all!

So, this is the next best thing…with the MASSIVE dream and assumption that sometimes, on the rare occasion, certain eyes wander over this (by no way shape or form ‘PROFESSIONAL’) blog and may just glean some interest in listening to Siddhartha on a sleepless night on the tour coach.

You’re welcome 🙂

Hi, thanks so much for sharing this. Like Jason said the BBC took it off and that made me so frustrated! I heard this in the car and I’ve been wishing to finish listening to it. I had a hard time finding it and then to discovered they made it unavailable. Really appreciate it.

You’re very welcome. I’m glad that the Internet searches are doing their work and sending people to my site to find it – as I’m aware that a Simple Minds fan blog is not the most obvious place there is to find a BBC Drama recording. 🙂

Many thanks for this. BBC Sounds took it off after a month – before I’d listened to it – and I couldn’t find it anywhere else until now.

You’re very welcome. I still need to listen to it myself!
