Jim Kerr Interview – Explaining The Skype Sound on “Blood Type O”

Posted on December 10, 2015October 3, 2023 By Priptona 2 Comments on Jim Kerr Interview – Explaining The Skype Sound on “Blood Type O”

Have never seen this bit of interview until just now. He is wonderfully animated.

Wonderful bit of Glastaliano at the beginning :-)))

And the bit about his mum at the end :-(( Funny…but sad, given what happens just over a year later :-(((

It was and will remain a great moment in my life. I received a copy of the Grafiti Soul album before its release. I was working at Radio Nostalgie Belgique at the time and my colleague Brice Depasse gave me the album. And the story is true, I was surprised by the Skype sound in the blood type o tune. I find it so great that I just want to know more and ask this question to Jim Keer. Rather a dream. And then a week or two later Brice tells me about Jim Keer’s upcoming studio visit. Brice asks me to film the interview (we were already doing podcasts at Nostalgie at the time). And my dream comes true. Between two takes Brice lets me ask my question to Mr. Jim Keer. That’s the whole story. The answer is related here: http://www.simpleminds.org/sm/songs/gs/bto1.htm
