Another day, another gig announcement! This time it is the long-awaited return to Glasgow of The Anchoress. To celebrate her signing with label Last Night From Glasgow there is (of course) the impending release of her original recorded material from 2011, Communion. The album gets a release on vinyl for the first time. It is set for release on 20 March 2025. You can find out more about the release of Communion by clicking HERE
Added to this was confirmation yesterday that Catherine will be playing at the CCA (just when I was mentioning it in my post about the Stag & Dagger!) on Saturday 10 May. I am so, SO excited! As lovely as it was to see her in Edinburgh in 2023, (as well as MK last year) there is just ‘no place like home’ for a gig. Also, it’ll be a great way of celebrating the CCA’s reopening after the real threat of its permanent closure came at the end of last year.
Financially, I am wiped out! Buying tickets for THREE shows in one week has been a real hit to the purse strings, especially as I had just been on my mini tour of the north-east of the UK seeing Hamish Hawk in Aberdeen and Newcastle. And there’s still Edinburgh to go yet! Holy moly!

Gigs, gigs and more gigs! See you there!
