So… this happened today (see image below) and I cannot tell you how excited I am! For years Craig has been back here living somewhere in the West Coast of Scotland (to my knowledge) but has only been doing shows in the USA and Canada. The last time I was aware that he performed in Scotland was years ago in Edinburgh for the Fringe. Now, at last, not only is he doing some dates in Europe but he is actually putting on a show in Glasgow!!! OMFG!! I saw it announced earlier in the week with O2 Priority pre-sales available from Wednesday morning. I had to wait until this morning for general sales to begin. The seats were all the same price no matter where you sat in the venue so, might as well go for the best ones I could get. YAS! Get in! Third row, centre section! Very happy with that. This has been a looooong time coming! I might not have known of Craig from the days of the Dream Boys and Bing Hitler, but I’ve been aware of him from waaaay back to the Drew Carey Show days, and that’s an awfully long time ago now – so this has been a long time coming. I mean, he stepped away from the Late Late Show at the end of 2014 so….
Anyway, I am dead excited and with the show happening just a week before Bellahouston Park, I might still have a smile on my face by then. Lol. We’ll see. If not, then five minutes of Hamish will fix that.
I know it’s not a music gig – it’s comedy and it’s not really music related but with it being such a desire in me to see Craig live – this is a really significant thing for me, so this is why it is getting its own post and will be added to the calendar of gigs for this year.
