The other being a late addition of gigs with Monorail Music announcing yesterday an in-store promo gig by none other than Franz Ferdinand happening this Tuesday (14 January) afternoon. I grabbed me a ticket INSTANTLY (thanks to the OH lending me the funds). I couldn’t get a ticket for their Barras gig. I also couldn’t get to grab a ticket early enough for their Liquid Room gig for the album – it also meant travelling to Edinburgh. And as much as I am tempted to see them at SWG3 in August – it’s SWG3! I just don’t like this venue or its location. So when the email from Monorail came through yesterday morning announcing this wee in-store promo gig, I HAD to jump at it. The Field Music one had a great vibe and I’m sure this will too. Yes, it’s only an acoustic mini-gig but for a few quid more than the price of the CD (the ticket was £16.99 which included a copy of the CD – it’s £10 for ticket to the gig alone) it was a no-brainer.
