First SM Gig Announced For 2025

Posted on September 23, 2024September 23, 2024 By Priptona 1 Comment on First SM Gig Announced For 2025

The rumours were coming in last night that the band were going to be announced in the line-up for the Lytham Festival next July. And lo, it was officially announced this morning that they’ll be on a double bill with fellow Scots, Texas on Sunday 6 July 2025 – almost a birthday gig for Herr Kerr. Unusual for them to be in the country in July these days. Usually it’s all eyes on the European mainland by that time of the year, so in that sense alone, it’s feeling a little special.

Personally, I’m sad to say there is little excitement emanating from me. I think I’ve had my fill over the past 10 years. Perhaps I just need a break? Or perhaps…I’m just not interested any more? That said, I am happy for those fans who have been crying out for them to appear on the bill of this festival. They are a happy bunch today, and I am excited for them, if not for myself.

There are pre-sale tickets going on sale from 8am BST on Thursday 26 Sept. You need to register with the organisers of the festival – Cuffe and Taylor – first. You can find the registration details HERE

Tickets for general sale start at 8am Friday 27 Sept and are available from lythamfestival.com
