Out Tomorrow – New Gold Dream: Live at Paisley Abbey

Posted on October 26, 2023October 26, 2023 By Priptona 1 Comment on Out Tomorrow – New Gold Dream: Live at Paisley Abbey

A reminder that tomorrow, 27 October, is the release date for New Gold Dream: Live at Paisley Abbey. It’s been almost 12 months since the band secreted themselves away into Paisley’s stunning abbey. The premise? To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of seminal album New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84) with a unique one-off live recording. Us fans were alerted to the goings on relatively early and some of us locals (guilty!) were tempted to head southwest over the Clyde into Renfrewshire to get even just a distant aural taster of what was going on there.

It was a while in the waiting for the Sky Arts program in which the performance at the abbey would be showcased was aired. 21 July was the date and the announcement of the release of the special live album recording was made the same day.

Available in both CD and marbled colour vinyl, it will make a visually splendid (if not an audio one as well) addition to a fan’s growing collection.

Available through all music retailers and online via the official Simple Minds store HERE
