The feeling I am getting from some ratings and reviews of the album is that it’s somewhat…”predictable”. That’s the overriding feeling I get from Wyndham Wallace’s assessment of it – esp. from his on Natural and Human Traffic. As with most f the fans (myself included) – he draws on Solstice Kiss as the true gem of the album. Three and a half stars equates to a 7/10 and the album seems to firmly be drawing in the sevens and eights out of ten which is – solid! (P.S. I love how even WW made a note of “I wakened up”. Lol. Though he is seemingly unaware of the Glesga penchant – or at least Jim’s penchant – for its use over the years.)
On top of the the review, they also feature in the magazine as well, with Jim and Charlie discussing the making of the album, the band’s general renaissance, and Jim and Charlie’s continued working partnership. Worth the cover price for that, I say!
