On the plug, plug, plug trail. On BBC Radio 2 breakfast, on with Lorraine, on TalkSport….the list goes on and on. I used BBC Sounds for tuning in to hear them (obviously THEM being Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill) speaking to Sara Cox on Radio 2. This morning the YouTube algorithm served me up this.
I’m in the process of watching it myself. From the snippet I saw on FB, Bruce will have his hackles up again for being shoved aside in the old Virgin Records signing story. The story sticks…
Whichever way it actually went, there’s no denying the Virgin signing was a watershed moment, leading to the masterpiece(s) that is/are Sons and Fascination/Sister Feelings Call.
When I’ll receive my copy of Our Secrets are the Same is anyone’s guess. The company I bought my copy from have been sent copies with only Kerr and Burchill’s signatures, but not Graeme Thomson’s. No great shakes for me as I have squared it with Graeme that somehow, someway, I can get my copy signed by him.
In the meantime, here are the Glesga Twins on Virgin Radio talking with Ben Jones on his Drivetime show.
