DAVID BOWIE SONG TYPOGRAPHY GIVE AWAY!

Posted on December 20, 2017December 21, 2017 By Priptona 2 Comments on DAVID BOWIE SONG TYPOGRAPHY GIVE AWAY!

What about a BOWIE song typography? Anyone interested? Yep…I don’t just do Minds stuff (but, yes, I mostly do Minds stuff).

So, Bowie fans out there, if you’d like to win a typography with your personal choice of songs (a minimum of 30, up to 50)…just comment here…with a fave Bowie song, or album, or if you think there is indeed Life On Mars? (or otherwise) Just…say anything. Let me know you’re interested!

Enter by 23:59 next Wednesday (Dec 27th). Two winners will be announced the following day.

GOOD LUCK!

I have a few favorite songs for different reasons. My first as a Simple Minds fan has to be ‘Jean Genie’ from the stunning 1973 album ‘Aladdin Sane’, there’s a verse saying “He’s so Simple Minded” its how the band got their name (but everyone knows that) . The next track I love is called ‘Rebel Never Gets Old’ which is a mash-up off two off his songs. My last is not actually a Bowie song but he sings in this live version of Arcade Fires ‘Wake Up’. It was recorded on the 8th of September 2005 at Fashion Rocks in New York. And please if you haven’t heard it look it up now!
I’m trying to win this for my brother who has been a huge Bowie fan since he was a kid. He was devastated when David passed. Probably how I’d feel if something happened to Jim or Charlie.

Excellent choices…and, I was in pieces when David died…and just a couple of days before, when Blackstar was released I asked Jim his thoughts and he replied with this big review of it, it was wonderful. Just the most amazing thing…talking with a man that now means so very much to me about the new music of ANOTHER man that means so very much to me. I could have pinched myself.
David will forever be sadly missed…but he will also live on forever because of the amazing legacy he leaves behind.
