Yaaaay! I’m so glad I found your blog! Not only is it a Simple Minds blog; it’s an UP TO DATE Simple Minds blog! I was listening to 70 Cities As Love Brings The Fall and came upon your post. I read your post and I agree, JK’s best lyrics were the ambiguous, cryptic early albums. But in a way I understand what he is doing nowadays. He’s matured so his lyrics had to mature as well. As he has stated SM aren’t very good at”looking back”. But I will be a SM fan till I die. As I have stated elsewhere Simple Minds has been the soundtrack of my life and I’m 44 now, lol! Being from the States of course the first SM song I heard was DYFAM. Then the album OUAT. I was HOOKED! But imagine my surprise when one day in 87 at the music store in the mall while buying Live, I came upon SITR. And from that day on, I kept finding album after album and NONE of them sounded the same! I love U2 as well but SM were and are in a class by themselves. Please keep your blog going you have a reader for life. God bless

Thank you so much!! It is lovely to get feedback and hear that you love my blog! It’s from a very personal angle, I know, but I do try and keep current band information and content up as well as looking back through their history and everything.

It makes me so happy to know that someone else is out there enjoying it. Thank you! You’ve made my day!!
