Well, you know my feelings on the Celebrate video from this same appearance…but the Premonition video is just as wonderful to watch. As far as the serious musical critique goes…it is a *weaker* performance of the song than others I’ve seen. I put the word weaker in asterisks because it probably isn’t the right word…and although performed live here, all other live performances I’ve seen have had an audience which I’m sure adds an extra element to the band’s playing and for Jim to feed and bounce off.
Seriously (well, not seriously…as I’m just about to leave the serious talk behind), those leathers and boots though! “You can leave your hat on”, Joe Cocker once said…I would insist Boy keep those boots on! Maybe the leathers too. Bring the mic cord…
