A man, sharing his memories of being a Bowie fan as a 13 year old boy.
In a different time and place, I think I’d have been quite smitten with this boy. Sadly, I would have had sod all money too! For I’d have done the same as him – spent any money I had on music (and even when I had none…I was still buying stuff – hence my “lay-by” of ChangesOneBowie mentioned in my diaries that I shared in a previous post). But I would have gladly given him my last penny…my last Rolo…to have had five minutes with him.
He said he fell in love with Italy on that trip (on other occasions I’ve read him say that it felt like he finally saw the world in colour). I’d have fallen in love with him ??
