Statham In The Studio With Someone Familiar

Posted on March 11, 2025March 11, 2025 By Priptona No Comments on Statham In The Studio With Someone Familiar

I follow Paul Statham on social media as I like to keep up to date with his musical endeavours – particularly when it comes to the Dark Flowers project.

Imagine my surprise to see him share these photos on his socials yesterday. He’d shared them with a blurb that stated he’d been in a recording studio in North London with Herr Kerr and Simple Minds co-producer over the past decade, Andy Wright. No other info given other than that. So….is it a Simple Minds thing? I know Paul has a Dark Flowers release coming out soon so it would seem to be too late for that and I wouldn’t imagine it would involve Andy Wright, so I can only deduce that it’s a SM thing.

Anyway, whatever it is, it’s activity. Speaking of which… we are exactly seven weeks away from the start of the touring schedule this year, kicking off in Santiago in Chile. Still feels a long way off until the end of June – but I’m sure it’ll soon come round (my attempt at enthusiasm there).

Other than this, there really isn’t an awful lot to report on the Simple Minds front. I’m sure it’ll soon ramp up. Until then…
