As I look at the calendar on my desk I see that the screening of Everything Is Possible on Paramount+ UK is just TWO WEEKS away! And, yes, I am a little excited at the prospect of seeing it. I do hope it’ll be a great watch. At 75 minutes, I’m a little worried that it’s not that long for a story that’s been (including the age that Jim first met Charlie) over 55 years in the making!
Last month Paramount+ were offering half price subscription to the service for the first three months. I decided to take up the offer in readiness. I’ve only watched one thing so far. A film the OH went and saw at the cinema with some pals at the time of release – Fire In The Sky. Wow! What a B-Movie schlock! I’d be intrigued to see how the new Frasier series is. Other than that there is not much taking my fancy on the service and I’ll most likely cancel the subscription in January.
Until then, I might hunt down some equally schlock films akin to the two-bit Fire In The Sky to watch.
In the meantime, I’m guessing the guys are already either in rehearsals or are getting themselves prepped to go as soon as Christmas and New Year are done with. I have to say 2024 is promising some incredible things, in both the personal sense and elsewhere. A shame I can only go to a single Simple Minds gig. I know when the time comes round it’ll break my heart to see them only the once (especially as they are playing TWO nights in Glasgow), but I have to be pragmatic about it. In other ways, they will continue to feature very heavily in my life for over the next 12 months at least. Make of THAT what you will!
