Rhythm Of Life! (UPDATED NEWS WITH RELEASE DATE)

Posted on November 20, 2023November 22, 2023 By Priptona 3 Comments on Rhythm Of Life! (UPDATED NEWS WITH RELEASE DATE)

Well, it’s now official. ‘Simple Minds: Everything Is Possible’ (aka The Jim and Charlie Story) has just been plugged for the first time on SM social media. From what I read it’s a 75 minute documentary with interviews of various celebs sharing their love of the Minds, intermingled with the story of the Kerr/Burchill bedrock.

It will air on Paramount+ in the UK, imminently – one would assume by the official plug which states “coming soon”. A Christmas viewing present? We shall see!

UPDATE: My powers of detection were on point. Today’s post on the SM socials seems to confirm that, yes, it will be Merry Christmas Simple Minds fans as Everything Is Possible is due to air on December 22nd. Nice one!

There is also a trailer for it and going by how it’s been stitched together and with the synopsis accompanying it – perhaps it won’t just be the “Kerr/Burchill” story after all…but actually about the WHOLE band? This is welcome news! View the trailer here…

Isn’t that photo brilliant? ‘Everything is possible’. Jim standing on that side , Charlie in the dark, but with the light shining on him.To me it highlights Jim being the real driving force in the band saying’ Follow me and you can have all this’ with the huge audience behind him. It also suggests that Jim is aware he can’t do this on his own and needs his friends.
I may have overthought this. 😂

Woah! You’ve been on the red smarties this morning, Scobes! 🤣🤣🤣
I can’t stop seeing Jim as somehow being given the AI treatment on this. I just keep saying in my mind “AI Jim” when I see this image. Lol. There’s something a little… ‘inhuman’ about it to me. Probably all the other crap that’s going on in my head. I’m just glad to see that, from the feel of the trailer at least, it won’t just be the Jim and Charlie story. There were other people in that band instrumental (no pun intended) to their sound and they deserve recognition too… not just Herr Kerr and Charlie Piranha. (I know! Hark at my new evangelical stance! Lol)
