Someone at SMHQ has a very skewed idea of what a “global” tour is. So far for next summer there is…. Ooh, erm, ENGLAND. Oh, a date in Dublin. And, new to the list? Italy. Three shows. Wow! Well…I just feel ssssooo included! Where can I go to next to see them? From the place I can barely afford (ie: England) to the place I’ve got a cat in hell’s chance of getting to (Italy)? Hmmm. Decisions, decisions!
Oh well, why do I care anyway.
I hope for Kerr’s sake he isn’t going to be like his ex and ask the Tao set to “fuck off out the front row” so he can see some “local faces.” Those same “local faces” that follow them everywhere as well. I’m sure it’s only certain faces he’s tired of at any rate. Good news then that mine will be missing…at least for all the dates so far. Most likely for good, the way things are moving on.
I don’t want to be bitter….but Jesus Christ – even if I really, REALLY wanted to go to any gigs, my choices would be limited. So now Italy are seen firmly as “local” gigs for Laurel and Hardy. Fair enough. If there are no Scotland gigs for next year then, I’ll have ended my list of SM gigs at the Hydro at Easter. A little sad about that but that’s the way things go. Nothing lasts forever.
Anyway…Italy dates details available through the socials, pre-sales, etc….
