Despite how it seems, I hate having pictures taken of myself. I like group shots….documents of hanging out with other people…moments caught for all time…but just an intimate shot of me alone, taken by someone else (as opposed to my silly selfies which normally have me pulling stupid faces or generally being a ninny)? No.
But….this is different. Rude, yes! My reaction to how I generally feel about said intimate portraits. Too self-conscious to be serious for too long. But…I really like it. It kind of captures the essence of me. Full of bravado…inhibited….but trying to be free for self-expression. Not trying to give a fuck, whilst ALWAYS giving a fuck. Always caring what others think, while trying to exude the air of not.
