I didn’t even realise Simple Minds ended,up featuring in it. I assumed their presence in the “History of Rock” realm would be given to New Gold Dream, so when I looked at the 1982 edition of the magazine and saw hardly ANY talk of NGD, I just assumed SM were overlooked entirely.
To my surprise though, they were featured earlier in the magazine run than I expected and were featured in the 1980 edition with a spread about Empires And Dance. Well, there you go!
