The Best of Brian McGee – Spotify Playlist

A playlist I created of my very favourite drumming bits of Brian. I’d have them all – but I remained strict with these 24.

Brian McGee Appreciation – Capital City – Folllies 1980

Brian McGee Appreciation – Capital City – Folllies 1980

It’s 1980 – so the quality of this video is not the best – but WOW! Just wow! I loooooooooooove early Simple Minds so much! Capital City just slowly pulses (That ā€˜PULSE!’ vocal couldn’t be more apt! Well played, Jim!), with such a great bassline from Derek, almost pizzicato guitar bits by Charlie, and as…

Hair Growing Out

I’m liking the black more. It’s a bit lacklustre – but I haven’t given it a ā€œproperā€ wash with pro product yet. Hope I can get it to shine up. I need a style! I’m ssoo over having Derek Forbes’ hair circa 1981. Lol

Simple Minds on Hear Here 1980 – Jim Kerr Gifs

(via priptona-weird) Feeling a new appreciation for that liveĀ ā€œHear Hereā€ performace today. Shame there isn’t better quality footage because the guys are AMAZING – all of them – but Jim is just ssooo amazing to watch! Raw, aloof, cool, sexy, but palpably nervous and apprehensive. He’s sublime :-))
