Because I love the suit and the boots…
I can’t work on him any more. Having fixed his nose, sorted out his lips, repainted the iridescent background and corrected the elongated body proportions…I am done. I feel like it’s now a completed work. I am happy, but will never be entirely happy with it. It looks more like him than my previous attempt…
But my love lives on… Let’s repurpose the muse for holding brushes when painting the muse…

More work on The Turbett today. I really like it…and then I don’t. Just me never feeling like I’ll ever truly do him justice. I’ll put the “reworked” original of Virginia Turbett’s photo for a “compare and contrast” comparison.
