Conte Fly Reply…

Again, he later tempered his reply (having edited it several times again) to Conte about his grievance (that we kind of share, by the way). One part of it though…”Minds shows are about precision”. Really? Minds grew out of punk…post punk…PUB ROCK…the very thing that you say you are not (in terms of comparing it…

Who’s The Boss? Meow!

Anyone care to guess here why I might not have expressed my grievance to the set list being a little short and stage time lacking, just a little, to Sir personally?  That was EXACTLY the reply I feared. I love you, Sir…but you are a bitch! Lol And he started off so nicely, and bit…

So Far, So Distant, And So Long Ago: Simple Minds In Berlin 1980

“I can remember – standing by the wall” – Heroes, David Bowie A fantastic photo booklet by journalist Ronnie Gurr – published independently by Hanging Around Books. On a limited run of 250. As soon as I was made aware of its existence (by Sir Kerr, no less! Having seen the pictures from the book…

Someone Somewhere In Summertime – Essen, Germany

I feel my ONE piece of fair and constructive criticism (if indeed a wish for the set list to have a few more songs and to wish for the stage time to be just a little longer than it is can actually be DEEMED a criticism?!) has been taken out of context, misconstrued, turned into…

Cherisse – Magnifique!

There are YouTube clips being shared of songs from the opening night, and as with the Hackney gig, the song to start the show off is New Gold Dream – this song now belongs to Cherisse Osei. Her opening drums and percussion on this are absolutely amazing. Jaw droppingly brilliant! Cherisse, you have well and…

Cherisse Osei’s Tour Diary

Having mentioned it in a post the other day about Sir ACTUALLY IN rehearsals – how remiss of me it was NOT to link to Cherisse’s tour diary clip on YouTube.  Sorted.

Oh, He Is Stunning!

My wonderful friend John shared this with me just a while ago. Thank you, John….just the pick-me-up I needed. Why wait for a Kerrsday Thursday (come Thursday I will be otherwise engaged in something very important and very secret…already said too much, no doubt) when a photo looks this good?!  What a beautifully divine creature…

Acoustic Tour Opening Night – Essen, Germany

If the post from Jim is anything to go by, the first night was seemingly a success. He said of the night, “In fact it couldn’t have run smoother last night. Very nice venue, wonderful audience, the perfect acoustic set list…” That may be…but it seemed a bit short to many of us not there…

Lyric Of The Day – Careful In Career (Redux)

I love this track so much. And…it turned out absolutely stunning this new artwork. I’m glad a redid it. I didn’t have any intention of reworking it. I was just playing around and wanted to then put in lyrics in the boxes…and…well, I just love Careful In Career.
