Simple Minds – PGA Championship – Wentworth, Surrey – May 27th, 2018

A bad prep for me, personally…a terrible night’s sleep, scared to death through very thundery storms. Adding impending doom to the forecast of weather conditions for the day. Stormy weather potentially ALL DAY! The sun was out at daybreak, and all had settled. Was it the “calm before the storm”? Only time would tell. The…

The Manics (AND ANCHORESS!) Meltdown!

9.59 am I phoned the Southbank Centre to join the queue for tickets to Manic Street Preachers – supported by The Anchoress – about 11 minutes past 11 my call was answered. For how long it had taken to get through, I was not hopeful for tickets. Nine Inch Nails and My Bloody Valentine tickets…

Manics Music Monday – Dylan And Caitlin

A slight change this week – for what is usually MINDS Music Monday…for this week I wanted to share the new single from the Manic Street Preachers – featuring The Anchoress! A beautiful duet between James Dean Bradfield and Catherine Anne Davies (the Welsh do like a full name, don’t they?). Enjoy!

The Anchoress At Robert Smith’s Meltdown

Amazing and wonderfully excited for Catherine with this inclusion in Robert Smith’s choice of acts for his curation of this year’s Meltdown festival at London’s Southbank. Will definitely be going to see this…with bells on! Tickets are on pre-sale for Southbank Centre members from March 13th, and on general sale on March 15th. More information…

Some goodies to be had in both. Found recent back issues of Mojo magazine at the record shop…complete with complimentary CDs on the covers…

Hey guys, YouTube are revoking the partner program for YouTubers with fewer than 1000 subscribers. The Anchoress (aka Catherine AD) needs your help to get over the 1000 subscriber mark within the next 30 days. If you can, PLEASE subscribe to her YouTube channel! I don’t know why I hadn’t already done so myself…but I…

My Year Of Live Music!

I have NEVER experienced a year like it! I have never been to so many gigs in one year before! I can safely say that I have seen more live music in this past 12 months than I have seen in my previous total sum of gigs experienced. Here’s a rundown of the list… March…

Paul Draper At The O2 Institute, Birmingham – Sept 23rd 2017

Well, as I am currently Ms Skinty McSkintface, it was a wonderful and unexpected thing to be invited along to this final gig on Paul’s short, but almost completely sold out tour of the Spooky Action album. My exposure to the music of Paul Draper has come by way of collaborator extraordinaire, Catherine Anne Davies…
