Smash Hits Magazine – Who’s Who Segment from 1984 featuring Jim Kerr and Annie Lennox

Smash Hits magazine pop star “Who’s Who”, featuring Jim Kerr and Annie Lennox, from 1984. Love the pic of Jim they used! Had not seen it before. Lol. Love the idea that his kinda “eternal search” may just be for a new pair of shoes! Lol. You philosopher!

Sparkle In The Rain/Waterfront Promo Photos 1983

Sequence of photos of Simple Minds during Sparkle In The Rain promotional touring, late ‘83/early ’84. It was a cold old day! They’re all pretty rugged up – except for Mick, he’s used to those Barra gales :-)) The first photo is another of my faves of Jim. That tousled hair is gorgeous!

Jim The Binman?

Jim The Binman?

Jim – the bin man! What a waste that would have been?! Though…there would have been one sexy old “garbo” collecting bins around the streets of Glasgow! 😉 – From “Simple Minds – A Visual Documentary”

The Narara Festival T-shirt

The Narara Festival T-shirt

I always wanted to know what the t-shirt Jim wears in this photo said/was…and now I know! It’s an Australian music festival. Simple Minds played there in 1984. The logo is very May Gibbs/Gumnut babies inspired (Google it if you don’t know what I’m on about). So cute!
