Oh, such great timing. Literally on the eve of me having to fork out another £250+ in making sure this blog keeps on running….erm, thanks guys! Lol
I went and looked at the info for the Hydro in the hope that I would at least be able to see a floor plan of it and could hope for a general admission standing area, as there was for the previous Hydro gig in 2022.
Well, it doesn’t show any general admission area. It’s all seating but the plan says its for “illustration purposes only” – so, who knows? I’ll try to remain hopeful but if there’s no GA area, I don’t really fancy my chances of going unless I am willing to sit up in the gods. “I paid over the odds for my seat in the gods / could have sworn that was a good thing” – thanks, Hamish! Lol
Anyway, all my personal dilemmas aside, here are the dates for your diary. At least as far as the UK and Ireland leg of the tour is concerned. For Glasgow the date is Friday, 29 March – Good Friday, in fact. Let’s hope it will be.
This time the Minds have support with them in the guise of Del Amitri. (Yeah, I think I might just be “kissing this thing goodbye” and all, babe.)
Pre-sales begin on Wednesday 6 September at 9am BST with general sales starting on Friday 8 September at 9am BST. Happy ticket hunting!
All extra info can be found on Simple Minds’ social media platforms.
I may see you there? (Fingers crossed there’s a GA standing area at the Hydro. Not holding my breath.)
