Over the past few days, festival dates have been announced through Simple Minds’ various social media accounts…in particular Facebook and Twitter. So far there is one UK festival date and several German ones. Of course you can see all the dates and info at simpleminds.com The UK festival announced is Camp Bestival at the end…
On closer inspection, despite how the date on the still footage states (Oct 25th); it is in fact August 25th…and therefore a Saturday. Not listened to this one myself, as yet, but will do tonight. From the opening track, it sounds a goodun. Enjoy!
A wonderful friend of mine in Germany got me a copy of Rolling Stone with a Bowie special inside, and an exclusive 7” vinyl copy of “Heroes” and “Helden”. A genuine collector’s item. I am so, so happy and thankful. There are some really beautiful people in the world.
I think this might be during Big Sleep…he was usually like this when performing Big Sleep…just…living in the moment…

There are YouTube clips being shared of songs from the opening night, and as with the Hackney gig, the song to start the show off is New Gold Dream – this song now belongs to Cherisse Osei.
