After this BBC Radio 3 broadcast of the Florian Hecker work we’re going to on Saturday, the next gig will be this amazing lady at Kings Place on December 17th. It is going to be wonderful and I’ll be taking a copy of this with me to be signed by Catherine. Thank you, lovely, lovely…

Firstly – I met the beautiful Catherine Anne Davies today. She was signing re-issued copies of her album, Confessions Of A Romance Novelist, at the independent record store Empire Records at St Albans. SHE KNEW ME! It was lovely! I was stunned! We had a very lovely chat and she was just wonderful and engaging….
I have to say, I can’t help but be a *TAD* cynical about Record Store Day. I’m in two minds…if it helps independent record stores stay afloat, that’s great.
