Last song before bed – BUT WHAT A SONG!!! :-)) #SimpleMinds
Love forever!! This song is (I know I’m overusing this word…but) AWESOME! #NowPlaying “Twist/Run/Repulsion” by Simple Minds from X5
Not seen such a clean copy of this before. Oh, it is such mid 90s advertising drivel! I wonder, if approached, whether they’d ever do aything like this again? And a bit of oneupmanship re: Minds v U2 – Minds advertising/being in bed with Apple looooong before “downloadgate” (re: Songs Of Innocence and the iTunes saga). …
Listening to another live gig tonight. Sounding like a good one so far. Look at that date! What a Christmas present!!!
Today is the 48th anniversary of the release of Love You Till Tuesday. It’s still a novelty fave Bowie song of mine. Yes, it’s 60s cheese, and Bowie is doing his best Anthony Newley impersonation – but it’s FUN! And you’ve got to have a giggle :-))
Simple Minds – Factory. From Belgian TV program Follies. As part of Brian McGee appreciation day. Appalling quailty, 1980, etc…but amazing, raw, live performance. (Jim is beautiful! Sorry – can’t help myself. Lol) (Source: https://www.youtube.com/)
The continuation of Brian McGee appreciation day on the blog. Another song from Belgian TV (same set as Capital City came from, it would appear) – Calling Your Name. Jim Kerr has some fantastically weird moves during this. Lol. But today is all about Brian :-)) Again – apologies for the video qhality – but…
And of course, this at the top of my Brian McGee list! 🙂 #NowPlaying “Boys From Brazil” by Simple Minds
A playlist I created of my very favourite drumming bits of Brian. I’d have them all – but I remained strict with these 24.
