I always wanted to know what the t-shirt Jim wears in this photo said/was…and now I know! It’s an Australian music festival. Simple Minds played there in 1984. The logo is very May Gibbs/Gumnut babies inspired (Google it if you don’t know what I’m on about). So cute!

jkleftear: OMG!! I could utterly, absolutely EAT HIM!!! And his left ear is sssoooo curly and cute and Vulcan-like! Nom, nom, nom!!! Ditto!
The baby bhoys 🙂 circa 1979 L to R: Michael MacNeil, Derek Forbes, Charlie Burchill, Brian McGee, Jim Kerr.
Look at the make-up on him – top right! Wow! I fucking love you, Jim Kerr!
He is just too adorable for words – Jim Kerr (Oh, and Charlie Burchill behind him)
Have found some absolutely cracking pics to share on here today (thank you to a certain person who helped me out with this discovery…you know who you are!). Will be sharing in the days to come. But for now…a gorgeous B&W shot of the ever delectable, Jim Kerr.
Time for song four on my Simple Minds dream setlist. Tonight it’s Premonition. I’ve shared the performance from the Hurrah Club in NY in 1979 a few times now…so thought I’d choose this one tonight. Lovely, sexy, smouldering, leather-clad, snake-hipped Jim and also the very delectable Kenny Hyslop on drums. Ah, good times! *sigh* (Source:…
“float through the night time like manna from Heaven / but what do I know” Jim providing sign language to the words for Up On The Catwalk. Thanks, JK 😉
