Yes…I’ve been playing with Enlight (iOS app) again!
Fold out magazine pin-up booklet with Jim on the cover. The inner blurb on the Minds is actually quite a good little blurb for such a throw-away piece of musical tat. And I do love that picture with Jim finger on chin, plotting world domination (or Derek’s demise from the band, at least).
Part three (final part) of the Simple Minds unofficial, bootleg Tour Program from 1986.
Part two of the Simple Minds unofficial Tour Program from 1986. An appearance from Laird Dash Fandango in this part. Of course, the photo is arranged so LDF is waaaay over on the left, by himself, and the rest of Simple Minds are all clumped together on the right. LDF is a SPECIAL bhoy. Lol…
Simple Minds unofficial Tour Program from 1986. I’d read somewhere that, for a bootleg bit of merch, this was quite good quality. Hmmm. It’s just full of clippings from music mags and stuff. I spent nearly £15 on this on eBay! If I’d known what it actually was like, I wouldn’t have bothered. But anyway…here’s…
Bought myself a copy of this from eBay. It wasn’t the best copy (but I only got it for £1 so I can’t really complain) but I’ve done my best to clean it up and give it a big old scan (not the full size scan here – Tumblr limits pictures sizes). I don’t know…
simplemindsworld: Simple Minds Ooh, nailing that “double denim” look, Jim, you gorgeous man, you!
priptona-weird: Here we go again… Share a pic of Jim Kerr because the Internet says it’s “Jim Kerr”. Yes. *A* Jim Kerr. Someone who just happens to share the same name – it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s him. Dear Lord!! Look at the baby’s ear!! If ANYONE knows Jim’s left ear…it’s bloody well me –…
First time I ever heard this was earlier in the year when Iggy Pop played it on his radio show. It was so beautiful, I cried. One of the most beautiful pieces of music I’d heard in a long time (minus some Simple Minds songs, obvs.). I really do need La Dusseldorf in my life!
