Hopeful Melancholy

Hopeful Melancholy

I enjoyed this short interview Jim had with Jacqui Neal, and her use of the term “hopeful melancholy” – that’s the phrase! Wow! The interview is short and sweet. Enjoy!

Direction Of The Heart – Prip’s Verdict

Direction Of The Heart – Prip’s Verdict

The clock ticked past midnight. I was feeling quite tired. I forced myself to stay awake as I really didn’t want to miss the opportunity to give Direction Of The Heart a listen upon its release. I had waited long enough and through not being privy to being allowed to review it prior to release,…

DOTH – Classic Rock Review

DOTH – Classic Rock Review

Backhandedly complimentary? Well, for a 6/10 it’s more kindly written than the Mojo review, I feel. It reads not too dissimilar to Electronic Sound’s review, yet ES does not give album ratings – which is very canny of them! Anyway…I think overall it is good, despite the rating saying otherwise.

Hallelujah Electronic Sound! DOTH Review

Hallelujah Electronic Sound! DOTH Review

The best review yet. This is how you do it! This fantastic example right here! Well done Anthony Thornton for the most positive review of the album I have seen in amongst the ones I’ve read til now. No factual inaccuracies. No cattiness. Just straight out positivity and constructive critique. If I were Jim and…

Call Me Pedantic, But… (Record Collector Review)

Call Me Pedantic, But… (Record Collector Review)

Mojo have given the album a more positive four stars (akin to an 8/10)….

You Woke Me With A Solstice Kiss

You Woke Me With A Solstice Kiss

I’ve been able to make out a few of the words of one of the song lyrics printed in the booklet for the new album. OMG, they’re beautiful! “Did I dream or/oh (not sure which) did I dream you spoke to meYou woke me with a solstice kissDid I dream or/oh did I dream that…
