Well, that’s how the saying goes. You can be the judge… Today’s the 38th anniversary of the release of Glittering Prize, and Big Dan is finally in the frame. For someone who only ever watches the video for Jim’s bits, I’m not sure I ever really missed him, to be fair.

Little drummer girl…before you embarrass yourself further!
You can never have too much of a good thing, right? I do sometimes think that maybe I need to seek help…or I should just go back obsessing about birds. Blackbirds, eh? Phwoar! Lol – Don’t start me off on the tits!
Well, this is the first little thing I’ve done in over two months. Might as well try and get the eye in again, and try and get back to something. Hope the muse returns. Try to push it into coming back. It may lead nowhere…I may come back with full flourish…OR BETTER! (Geez, I hope.)…
Have taken a break of late. From all forms of art. Need to get back into things. Actually missing painting most of all. But in the meantime… The “Barrowland Star”…Glittering Prize of a boy. ? I bloody ?? this man!
Of the two TOTP appearances for Glittering Prize, Jim seems much more “up for it” with this performance. More animated. I like all the moves in this one. He’s a bit stilted in the other…which, I sometimes prefer…but I just like the shapes he throws in this one…and…well, he’s stunning 🙂 ??
A copy of Glittering Prize on MiniDisc and a promo copy of a Cry Album sampler, featuring an interview with Mr Kerr. Nothing else now until the new album is released.
All things Simple Minds…some 12 inch singles and a Greek copy of New Gold Dream. Interesting that Flukes Atlantis Mix of Theme For Great Cities comes with that DJs leaflet thing. Quirky bonus!
