Out Today: One Love, One Life – Billy Sloan’s Autobiography

Released today is this tome by Billy Sloan (ah, poetry! I’m dreading studying that and having to write some this academic year!) titled One Love, One Life. It retails for £20.00 and is available in all good book sellers. Jim has written a foreword for the book. (Maybe in time…)

Billy is also doing some store appearances and book signings around the west of Scotland, starting in Bridge of Weir tomorrow night, then he’ll be at Waterstones on Argyle Street, then at the Barrowland Ballroom and finally in Hamilton over the next couple of weeks. Check HERE for full details.

I personally won’t be able to get to the Waterstones appearance as I have to be up at the crack of dawn to catch the train for London for Catherine’s gig the following night. The train is leaving Central at 5.33am so…I can’t really afford to go out the night before. And a similar but slightly opposing dilemma will face me for the Barras appearance on the Sunday afternoon. We’re catching a red-eye coach back to Glasgow on Saturday night which means I’ll arrived blurry eyed and most likely positively knackered at around 6.30am on Sunday morning. If I can crash and get a few hours shut-eye once we get home (or by some miracle I get to sleep on the coach!), I might just about be able to get to the Barras appearance.

Either way, I’m looking forward to getting myself a copy and giving it a good old read. The Springburn boy done good!
