The Composition – Jim’s Butt In The Mirror

Love the composition of this magazine cover – Jim’s butt in the mirror – rarrr raarrrr!!! The caption of the photo isn’t a good one (esp. given the reference of it – a show disgraced paedophile DJ/Presenter Jimmy Savile hosted called “Jim’ll Fix It”)…but there you go. That’s history for you. Another photo by Virginia…

Simple Minds – Blood Diamonds (John Foxx and The Maths Remix)

Simple Minds – Blood Diamonds (John Foxx and The Maths Remix)

I love this version of the song – but it makes me very emotional. It was playing when I learned of my brother’s death last year 🙁 The line “there’s a space ‘cause you’re not here” gets me every time. A beautiful song, and a haunting remix by Mr. Foxx

My New Favourite Version of Don’t You

My New Favourite Version of Don’t You

My new favourite version of “Don’t You”! A recording of Live Aid rehearsals, recorded July 10th, 1985. Jim already sounds VERY bored of the song – the second verse & chorus crack me up – with that mock cockney singing! Perhaps it was a mix of boredom and being hungover for it was his 26th…
